Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich, complex wine that combines generous fruit flavors with a smooth-but-structured mouthfeel to display the full character of oustanding Napa Valley Cabernet. The wine is a beautiful dense purple and opens with aromas of ripe dark fruit and spice. On the palate, intense flavors of blackberry, black cherry and plum mingle with lingering notes of sage, licorice and molasses. This is a full-bodied and well-structured Cabernet fine, soft tannins and a long, satsfying finish.

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were destemmed and crushed before three to five days of cold soaking to enhance the extraction of color and flavor. The must was fermented in small, stainless steel tanks. The wine remained in contact with the skins for up to 25 days before pressing. It was then racked to barrel where it underwent malolactic fermentation on lees to enhance the mouthfeel. This wine was managed as individual lots and racked up to four times during aging. Aged for 19 months on a combination of French (28% new) and American (7% new) oak barrels.
The Napa Valley AVA is renowned for its long growing season, marked by warm, sunny days and cool evenings. These growing conditions are ideal for allowing grapes to ripen slowly and evenly. For this Cabernet Sauvignon, 100% of the grapes were grown on our estate vineyard in Napa Valley. The 2015 vintage in Napa Valley began early then stretched into a warm, steady growing season that allowed full ripening and produced exceptional quality grapes. A mild, dry and early harvest gave us small berries with intense aromatics, concentrated ripe fruit flavors and outstanding structure and balance.
