The Leiner winery is a family winery and was founded in 1974 by my father Jürgen. I came to the company in 2000 and laid the foundation for our own tradition as an organic company. Anchored in the precise observation of the small patch of nature around the Kleine Kalmit, the ongoing development towards biodynamic management was the logical consequence of our actions. We have been working certified organically since 2005 and thanks to our stimulating work on biodynamic viticulture, we received Demeter certification in 2011 without any conversion phase. In addition, we have been a member of the international community of anthroposophical-biodynamic companies “Respekt” since 2020. Our focus is on regional varieties Riesling and Burgundy.
