The nose is wonderful, clean and exciting, The aroma is mostly black fruit like fresh blackberries, and pepper, freshly ground pepper, from the syrah. There is barely any oak, just a really nice combo of fruit and spice. The wine is silky and big in the mouth. The acid and tannins actually hit you right away. But the syrah reigns in the palate with peppers coating the mouth. The finish is thorough and it lingers with some leather and cocoa.
