Description

Taras and Amber Ochota make premium single vineyard blends from sites in different parts of South Australia. The Ochotas are part of a new wave of Aussie producers trying to make wines with more elegance and balance – so fine wines but more drinkable than some of the blockbusters of the past. The grapes are sourced from coolest section of the Adelaide Hills, planted at a steep 550 metres above sea level. Soils are composed primarily of fractured rocky ironstone with quartz deposits throughout, and vines average 14 years of age.
