This is a very sophisticated dry Riesling imported from Alsace by one of the most reputable names in the business, Kermit Lynch. Surprising value here when considering the fruit was sourced entirely from Pfoeller, a tiny (.5 hectares) plot situated alongside the Grand Cru Sommerberg. Limestone rich Muschelkalk imparts a mineral spine while an extended ambient yeast fermentation contributes lush texture in the mid-palate. Medium bodied with wet stones, dried apricots, petrol, and chopped herbs all delicately arranged.
