Located in the southern part of Burgundy, at the Northern limit of the Beaujolais area, Pouilly-Fuissé is often considered as the top of the Mâconnais wines, in the heart of the great whites appellations. It is produced in the small village of Fuissé.
The Clos des Prouges comes from one of the most sensitive place of Pouilly-Fuissé. The soil is made of clay and chalk from the Jurassic era and the production is rather small.
Pouilly Fuissé is pleasant to drink young, but can easily be aged in a good cellar up to ten years allowing him to develop a superb complex bouquet.
