Ruby red towards garnet in color. On the nose, red cherries, red currants, dried rose petals and subtle hints of forest floor and white truffle. Medium in body, very elegant, racy, and silky mouthfeel. On the palate, sappy, tangy red berries, sour cherries, earthy minerals, fresh tarragon and sage, savory mushrooms, high yet well-integrated acidity, tight and polished tannins, with more red currants and umami notes lingering on the very long and mouth-filling finish.
100% Pinot Noir.

Description
The origin of the maison Marchand started in Morey-Saint-Denis on February 24th, 1813. On that day Pierre Marchand, a local wine maker at Reulle-Vergy in Hautes Côtes de Nuits, married Marie Jacotier, heiress of her father’s wine domain.
Since, the domain matured in Morey-Saint-Denis through seven generations : Pierre, François, François-Joseph, Emile, Claude …
In 1983, Claude acquired an old 18th century Winehouse located in the center of the famous Gevrey-Chambertin village. He then entrusted the estate to his oldest son Jean-Philippe.
