Pale straw in colour with tinges of gold. The nose displays primary fruit flavours of white peach and citrus with hints of hazelnut and brioche. Subtle toasted oak and vanilla spice provides interest to the aroma. On the palate fresh stone fruit and citrus flavours prevail on a creamy, softly textured palate with hints of hazelnut and vanillin derived from the extended yeast lees and oak maturation. The 2017 Houghton Chardonnay displays flavours of white peach and grilled hazelnuts with a flavoursome, creamy finish.
