The Riesling Reserve Dry is sourced slightly later during harvest than some of our other Dry Rieslings. The fruit selected for this wine is from specific older blocks in our estate vineyards. Extended hangtimes in the long, cool autumns around Seneca Lake allow flavors to develop with structure and complexity. The result is a Riesling with a weighty mouthfeel and a rich, balanced texture, and an extended complex finish. This wine showcases the linear acidity of the ’21 vintage married perfectly with more mature and luxurious orchard fruit. If you can’t decide between the HJW and Magdelena Rieslings, this may be the wine for you, as it has both fruit and flavor profile from both of these distinct estate sites.
