Description

The Hammel estate in Kirchheim has been a family owned vineyard in Pfalz, Germany since 1723. The brothers Martin and Christoph Hammel, continuing their family’s tradition into the 8th generation, operate the winery on the historic German Wine Route. The estate’s vineyards have classic red sandstone cellars, and are centrally located in the 1,200 year old wine-growing town. Influenced by the picturesque region, daily work in the vineyard and cellar, and the vibrancy of life in Pfalz, they have created distinctive wines expressing centuries old winemaking traditions to be savored in the modern age.
