Nerello Mascalese (85%) with other local varietals from 50+ year old vineyards: Nerello Capuccio, Allicante Boushet, Minella Nera, Uva Francesa and Minella Bianco. Hand harvested & certified organic, Frank’s philosophy is to use what nature provides him and nothing else – no cultured yeasts, sulfites, or anything else added to the wines. The result is a funky, yet extremely drinkable, fresh red with aromas of pomegranate, rosemary and briney sea foam. A real wine geek’s wine! Best to amplify the funkiness by pairing it with Sea Urchin, game or strong, stinky cheese!
