Description

Domaine William Fèvre Valmur is a Chablis Grand Cru from a parcel on the western hillside of this unique cru, which resembles a small valley with two hillsides flanking the Sainte Vaubourg fountain path. The deep clay and limestone soils, combined with a south/southeast exposure, produce a wine with ripe fruit and powerful flavors, yet still carrying Chablisien minerality. Sourced from recently replanted vines, aged in 50% wood with only a small portion of new oak, this wine offers fresh aromas of green fruit, citrus, and oyster shell. The flavors are concentrated, with excellent volume, richness, and a robust finish. The colder valley climate adds focus, minerality, and a distinct tension, while the bouquet carries a signature salty minerality, a hallmark of Valmur.
