Laporte is part of the Henri Bourgeois family and the wines are synonymous with Sancerre. The grapes (100% Pont Noir) are destemmed and macerated for 24 hours with an 8 day fermentation at low temperature, malo is blocked and its left on the fine lees. Full of beautiful fruit; cherry, raspberry, red currant, orange zest, nectarine, and herbs. Medium weight with a rich mouthfeel and your typical Sancerre styled acidity.
