Description
The Chateau La Noe estate was founded in 1878, an 80ha area of land located in Vallet, France. They are known for their long history of consistency in their wine, which may be unsurprising when you learn that they grow only one grape varietal, the “Melon de Bourgogne”. The vine is named after the round, melon-like shape of its leaves, and it is from this grape that Chateau La Noe creates their Muscadet. The quality of the Muscadet is attributed to the exceptional soil, called the Armorican Massif, that contains an exceptionally large variety of crystalline rocks. This soil is found in Chateau La Noe’s “Clos du Ferre” vineyard which is widely considered one of the most famous vineyard in Muscadet. This Muscadet is a testament to the precision and dedication it takes for a winery to garner such a reputation for quality and consistency.
