Description

The Calcagno brothers, winemakers from Passopisciaro, on the north side of Etna, produce reliable wines well linked to the territory from which they are obtained. The oenological project starts in 2006 when Franco and Gianni decide to put their first bottles on the market. The vineyards are located in the Arcuria and Feudo di Mezzo districts over an extension of 3 hectares for a production of 15,000 bottles: it is therefore a small productive reality, dedicated to a tendentially traditional viticulture, as, moreover, is also the I work in the cellar. The result is very fascinating labels, with a personal and decidedly coherent stylistic code, without any concessions to easy shortcuts or fashionistas. Here then is the Etna Rosso Feudo di Mezzo speaking the language of the most generous wines of the volcano and capable of leaving a mark.
