C. da Silva (Vinhos) is a traditional Port House founded in 1862, though its name comes from the beginning of the 20th century when Clemente da Silva used his wife’s family Port House to help him achieve his dream of having his own company. The house is most famous for its collection of Colheita (single vintage Tawny and White Ports), especially the Golden Whites from 1952, 1963 and 1971: these are some of the most celebrated, rare, complex and intriguing Port wines to be found in the entire region.
