Despite its recent surge in popularity, Method Ancestral wines are far from a new fad. This sparkler dates back pre-Champagne, where the wine is bottled prior to fully completing its first fermentation, allowing carbon dioxide to be produced in the enclosed bottle by the natural sugars found in the grapes.Chenin blanc has long been a very important part of the Bosman wine proposition, being some 20% of our plantings and production. In 2000 the family acquired a vineyard in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley which would supplement their offering with cool climate grapes. It was just fitting that Chenin would find a new expression for the wine team here on this beautiful farm.
