In 1976, Wild Turkey Master Distiller Jimmy Russell had an idea. He took a chance — adding pure honey to the same bourbon he stubbornly kept consistent his entire career, creating Wild Turkey Honey Liqueur. Years later in 2006, Jimmy revisited that idea — repackaged and reformulated American Honey was born. Jimmy always knew Kentucky Straight Bourbon brings bold and deep flavors that play well with the sweetness of honey, and, by mixing the two, he could bring his beloved bourbon to more people, in more places and in more cocktails.
