Description

This family owned estate, overseen since 1978 by Gianfranco Gallo, is in Friuli in the far northeast of Italy near the Slovenian border.
Production is mainly based in single vineyard wines from their 50 hectares of vines on the stony and glacial soils near the banks of the Isonzo river close to Mariano del Friuli. Premium white wines are their focus, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio and malvasia istriana in particular, and whilst vintages are released two years after harvest they all have at least eight to ten years of ageing potential.
