LOCATION | This plot of 0.3 hectares was planted in 1954 and is located on the upper part of the Charmes-Chambertin terroir known as “Aux Charmes”. Running alongside the Route des Grands Crus between Morey-Saint-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin, this plot is opposite the border between Latricières Chambertin and Chambertin itself. |
TERROIR | Its singular geology composed of Jurassic marl and limestone results in wines with unique finesse and generosity. It is usually vinified with around 70% in whole bunches to foster tension and freshness in the wine. |
VINIFICATION | Harvesting is manual with 60% whole clusters. |
AGEING | 50% of new oak barrels are used for an aging period of 20 months. |
