Nose –
straight: peat and smoke, with a lingering chocolate and cherry aroma. seems to have a foundation of caramel, and can just get a hint of sherry or red wine.

with water: caramel explosion. that note comes out way in front, combined with the rest; the heat goes away. i could nose this all day, seriously.

Taste –
straight: olive oil, definite heat (it is 55%), smoke and peat. chocolate-orange.

with water: smoke comes more to the front, heat falls off a bit. vanilla coating. the olive oil sense seems to shift to sesame oil.

Finish –
graham cracker, some chocolate. like a burnt s’more. quite enjoyable but doesn’t linger very long.
