The wine is a rich orange colour with some translucent hues; intense aromas evoke notes of rich tropical mature fruit and dried herbs. Coda di Volpe literally translates as “foxtail”, because when the grapes are clustered and hanging from their vine, both the colour and shape are like a fox’s brush. Native to Campania in southern Italy, Coda di Volpe has long been sidelined in favour of the more lauded and profitable Fiano, Greco and Falanghina.
