If Napa Valley is Manhattan, the Yuba County is Hudson: a little more hippie and rural, and a lot more bang for your buck. 1997 is a great, powerfully ripe vintage for California– wines from Yuba like this one are a little more subtle and savory, while still rich with fruit.
