These 80-year-old vines are split equally across Charmes and Mazoyères, with 0.3 hectares in both. This has more weight than many Charmes. The cooper of choice for this terroir is François Frères; in youth, the wine is dominated. Put the oak aside, there’s subtlety and clearly wonderful fruit quality. It’s a benchmark example of the domaine’s long-term style.
