Sebastien Gutty, a fifth-generation vigneron in the Beaujolais region, uses only indigenous yeasts in fermentation. The berry-ish fruit is light and graceful, as befits Beaujolais-Villages, with a nice hint of fruit-tannin that gives it a satisfying bit of structure in the finish. Super-versatile with food — especially the sort found on French bistro menus.
