-Chardonnay is the very soul of Ruinart. The grape, mainly harvested from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims terroirs, is at the heart of all our cuvee’s.
– Blend 100% Chardonnay from various years (20-25% are reserve wines from the 2 previous years).
– Nose: At first it is very intense on the nose, with fresh fruit notes, particularly ripe citrus notes
– Palate: A second refined floral nose with notes of white flowers and fruits (white peaches, pineapple). A supple harmonious attack on the palate, very rounded. Viscosity that is not excessive, supported by excellent freshness.
-Appearance: Beautiful pale yellow golden color with gentle green reflections, a vibrant luminous color. Active effervescence with a persistent release of
bubbles-A perfect Champagne for aperitifs, particularly in spring and summer
– Food Pairing: Is an excellent compliment to seafood and shellfish; perfect with sea bass or bream tartare. It would also be very good with seared sole.
