Full manual harvest for this Petraio Primitivo The old vineyard of Petraio gives a rich but low yield, which is harvested entirely by hand. The harvest is always done early in the morning to prevent the grapes from oxidizing during transport. Each truss is visually checked manually. Because only the best bunches are finally processed in this red wine.   Wood aging for the Primitivo wine from Petraio The total wine matures for about 4 to 6 months in oak barrels, which gives it more depth and richness. You can smell that immediately in the scent, nice impressions of plum and cherry supplemented with vanilla, nuts and a little wood tones. In the taste, this Petraio primitivo is full and firm with aromas of lots of black fruit, light toffee, chocolate and a little spice and vanilla.
