It was Olivier’s grandfather, Joseph Leflaive , who, following the First World War and the bankruptcy of his steelworks in Saint-Etienne, initiated the expansion of the estate, its investments in Burgundy being all he had left. The estate becomes a family farm of 35 hectares. His son Joseph Régis, insurer, and his brother Vincent took over in 1953. The house quickly acquired its titles of nobility, in particular thanks to the arrival in the 1970s of air conditioning in Puligny, a considerable step forward for this village built two meters above the water table which had no underground cellars.
