Burgundy experienced an episode of so-called black jelly, with dramatic consequences for the vast majority of appellations. On April 27 and 28, the sunrise was accompanied by freezing temperatures low enough to inflict damage considerable in the vineyard. It is common to encounter the phenomenon of spring frosts, but, thanks to the temperatures  mild from late March to mid-April, the vines began their vegetative cycle two weeks early.  The branches with the inflorescences already visible are at this time unprotected against the cold and very sensitive were not savings. Although the vine has “rescue” buds, these, when they developed, were not as fertile than hoped. On the production plot, the yield fell by 50%. The following months were hot to scorching in summer, the vine thus making up for lost time. The first cuts were made at the end of September. Although the harvest was small, the The quality of the grapes was magnificent and very ripe. The wines produced are rich in color and show a palette  complex aromatic and a beautiful structure.
