“Ametistas” like the amethyst crystal ignites the body with a luminous energy devoid of inebriation, an ancient Greek nymph turned into stone to escape the desires of Dionysus who gave her the color of wine in revenge.
Grechetto from the old vines of the Baratto and Casale vineyards harvested in two harvests to have freshness and finesse from the September grapes, density, complexity and structure from the October grapes. Gold and amber wine that resembles a red in structure and persistence. Long aging wine thanks to the acidity and tannins characteristic of the Grechetto grapes. Sapidity and complexity given by the territory with high temperature variations between day and night in September-October (15-20 °C).

Description

The company of about 35 hectares is located in the municipality of Torgiano in an area formerly inhabited by the Etruscans. One part is located near the confluence of the Chiascio river with the Tiber and another part on a hill at an altitude between 200 and 400 m above sea level. The lands, which initially belonged to the Lungarotti family, in the 1970s passed to Mario Cascianelli, son of Maria Lungarotti, a lawyer with a great passion for the land. He will be the one to notice how these lands have a strong vocation for fruit growing, including vines, olive trees and cherry trees. In 2012 the FATTORIA MANI DI LUNA was born, a company made up of three friends (Simone, Rocco and Alessandro) with the common intention of redeveloping the company by converting it to organic and biodynamic agriculture methods. The farm follows the lunar cycles associated with the motions of the constellations and through manual and artisanal processes it tries to obtain natural products of high nutritional and energy value while respecting plants and the environment.

50% whole bunch of grapes pressed with female feet on a vertical press, 50% grapes destemmed manually and foot pressed to let them macerate on the skins for 3-6 days.

AGING

in steel or cement tanks on the fine lees for 9-10 months with repeated batonnage, 7 months in the bottle before being put on the market.

BOTTLING

without filtration, in the waning moon in the months of August-September.
