Description

Appearance: Bright with a deep ruby-purple core that lightens to ruby at the rim with lightly staining, thick, and persistent tearing.

Aroma: Very aromatic with blackcurrant, black cherry, and elderberry with dusty leather, vanilla, baked clay, dried herbs, baking spices and toasted oak.

Palate: Full-bodied with ripe black cherry, blackberry, and baked strawberry initially, followed by a rich and full midpalate with velvety, fine tannins and notes of dried thyme, worn saddle leather, dark chocolate, sweet tobacco, and graphite. The finish is long and layered with sustained black fruit, toasted cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, and camphor.
