After aging in Hillrock’s Solera and Oloroso Sherry Casks, this barrel proof unique American whiskey is then finished in ex Cognac casks. The multi-barrel aging of this copper/amber whiskey with slight red hues offers a caramel, tropical fruit nose full of cherry, apricot, mango, citrus and sweet desserts, caramelized sugar and butter toffee. Warm, sweet notes of vanilla, toffee and French oak, complimented by a bouquet of floral and fruity notes – black cherry, dried apricot, butterscotch and nuts complete the palate before leading to a long finish, highlighted with vanilla, cherry and Cognac flavors. Our Cognac-finished Owner’s Special Reserve Solera Aged Bourbon is limited to 320 bottles and bottled at cask strength at 118.3 proof.
