This remains planted on silex (black stone) soils. The nose shows classic Sauvignon Blanc character with green grass, gooseberry, and a black stone minerality atop just there citrus notes. The palate has clean citrus flavors with gooseberry and a smoky minerality. Texturally rounded from the higher ABV.

Description

Domaine Francis Blanchet is a small 8ha estate situated in the quaint village of St. Andelain. Working alongside his son Mathieu, this is an 8th generation family of winegrowers in Pouilly-Fume. St. Andelain has the distinction of having the largest percentage of “silex” or “silice” soil in the entire Pouilly Fume appellation, allowing Francis and Mathieu to make a Pouilly-Fume that is full of tension, verve and bright minerality.
