EFE-Gold has no added sugar and matures in oak barrels for 120 days to get a smooth taste, distinctive color and aromas. Technically speaking, raki is a clear brandy, comparable to the Italian pomace brandy grappa. In the first round, the pomace from the winemaking was traditionally fermented, then distilled and then mixed with anise and distilled at least once more.
