Our first wine was the 1992 vintage Kékfrankos-Merlot Cuvée, which won a gold medal in 1994 at the then-important National Wine Competition. With this wine, I gained fame and recognition as an independent winemaker in the industry. I mainly made red wines, and also from Kékfrankos, since I had this variety. Our selection was made up of Kékfrankos and Kékfrankos-based cuvées. Our initial winemaking philosophy was to produce the varietal selection from the existing raw material and to get the most out of it.
