Description
Since 2010, Laurent Fondimare and Wilfrid Debroize have been working hard to revive and develop their Domaine des Rutissons. With 40 ares of vines at the start, 4 years later, with several plantations, the two accomplices now cultivate 2.10 hectares of Etraire de la d’Huy, Viognier, Verdesse and Persan grape varieties.
The Estate, located in Saint Vincent de Mercuze, borrowed its name from the inhabitants of the town: in fact, the latter are called the Rutissons. The valley of Grésivaudan, and in particular the slopes of the right bank, have always welcomed the cultivation of the vine. At its peak, wine production could amount to 100,000 hl. The valley had up to five cooperative cellars… And isn’t Saint Vincent the “patron saint of winegrowers”?
