Description
It all began in 1860, with the first investments in the local vineyard of our quinquisaior, Emmanuel Boiron. His son, Joseph-Victor, then his grandson Joseph followed in his footsteps and created the “Clos Chantemerle” entity in 1936; generations followed one another, each in turn expanding the estate while always keeping in mind the concern for respecting the terroir and maintaining quality. Maurice, son of Joseph, will not be left behind and will give real scope to the property by purchasing more than ten hectares then renaming, in 1966, the estate: “BOSQUET DES PAPES”. The family heritage then includes 27 hectares of Châteauneuf du Pape.Since 1995, it is I, Nicolas, son of Maurice, who has been contributing to the project with the purchase of 3 hectares of Côtes du Rhône and 4.5 hectares of Châteauneuf du Pape. With my wife Jeanne-Claire, we want to ensure this decisive turning point in viticulture that is that of modernity, of the alliance between technical progress and respect for tradition, a tradition that we want to evolve to better adapt to the modern way of consuming wine. Today this stems from a real need for measured pleasure and a certain thirst, if you will, for knowledge, which after all, go very well together.
