From the rich, penetrating tannins of Barolo wines from Serralunga d’Alba to the liveliness of the wines produced on the slopes of Etna, since 1906, Giovanni Rosso’s identity lies in our family vineyards, to which we are devoted to. To them we owe the recognizability of our wines, wines that are highly distinguishable, terroir by terroir. We are in Serralunga d’Alba, the birthplace of the Giovanni Rosso Winery and undoubtedly one of the most representative production areas for the “King” of Piedmont wines. Here, the art of winemaking is expressed through the care of the rows of some of the most renowned for enthusiasts MGAs. Cradle of the Nebbiolo grape, which only with time reveals itself in wines destined to leave a lasting memory.

Strength, structure, and elegance are the hallmark of each of our bottles, obtained from Cerretta, La Serra, Broglio, Meriame, Sorano, Costa bella, Lirano and Damiano, MGAs of the Giovanni Rosso Winery for over a century. From then to today’s fourth generation, Davide Rosso’s contemporary perspective, the vineyards have been restructured by Giovanni Rosso with ultra-modern planting layouts. The new vision comes to terms only with time and respect for the seasons, with the savoir faire passed down the generations: low yield means maximum yield. Driven by the elegance that defines the vineyards of Serralunga d’Alba commune, Giovanni Rosso Winery ventured to Sicily in 2016, acquiring an estate in the Etna region, near the hamlet of Solicchiata in Castiglione di Sicilia.

An oenologist with international experience, Davide Rosso took over as head of the winery in 2001 and set in motion, on the family’s trail, the design of the new winery, which was inspired by the Bordeaux chateaux he had known in his previous career. His winemaking education, acquired in Alba and France and influenced by Burgundian methods, has been invaluable.
