Domaine de Montille is a Burgundy producer known for its Pinot Noir from highly regarded vineyards in Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The family has an extensive history in Burgundy. “En Champans” is one of the largest and most renowned wines in Volnay. “Champans” comes from the association of two words “champ” and “pans” translating the slope. Quite limestone at the top of the plot with light brown soil, the terroir is more clayey in the lower part, with soil that tends towards brown and red. The vines of Domaine de Montille stretch up the entire hillside and benefit from optimal sunshine.
