Not strictly a white wine – made with skin contact, so a lovely pale amber. 85% Chenin with 8% Semillon and 7% Colombard. Griddled apricots, peach kernel and earl grey tea that with time in the glass becomes spicy and highly scented – stem ginger and candied pineapple, with a splash of lemon barley water on the palate. Gently chalky and long in the mouth, finishing with lots of ripe grapefruit. We can imagine it would be superb with crudo or ceviche – and a v good intro to skin contact wine overall.
