Description

The story of the Bava family begins in Cocconato, a village perched on the steep slopes of Monferrato Astigiano. The Bava family has been growing vines in this area since 1600, and in 1911 they built their first winery there. Since then, more than a hundred years have passed from the hands of 6 generations of the family. The best Bava wines are known in the world for their high quality. Today the family estate is spread over Monferrato and Langa, with fifty hectares of vineyards and twenty hectares of natural fields and forests, cultivated with the same care and attention as in the old days. The symbol of this vineyard is sustainable agriculture with a reduced environmental impact. As you stroll through the Bava vineyards, you will notice grass clippings and tree clippings used as natural fertilizers.
