Description

The Pepe family have been growing grapes between the Adriatic Sea and the Appenine Mountains in Abruzzo since the late 1800’s. They work the vineyards biodynamically, producing soulful, old-school wines that taste as if they were from another age. This Trebbiano d’Abruzzo comes from forty year old vines planted over clay and limestone and is aged in cement vats for a year. From this cooler vintage, this is a fascinating example of the grape that is drinking beautifully now. A wine in a wonderful place.
