This cask strength Auchroisk is the single malt’s third appearance in the Diageo Special Releases, following a 20 year old in 2010 and a very good 30 year old in 2012. Matured in American oak hogheads and refill European oak butts, 3,954 bottles have been produced.

Description

Nose: Inviting, with notes of white peach, soft raisins, orange cream, vanilla and fresh linen. A fantastic nose.   Palate: Some cereal gristiness on the palate, but well-integrated and still light with floral touches. Fresh apricots and fondant fancies.   Finish: Mint choc chip ice cream. Every word is important there.
