This delightful wine is from a small parcel high above the valley and just outside Vacqueyras – the Rhone is visible in the far distance – it is a tribute to the boatmen who used to transport wine barrels downriver.
70% Grenache, 30% Syrah./ ABV 13.5%

| Winemaker Notes | The grapes were hand picked over 3 days in late October. The grapes were hand sorted, destemmed, and lightly broken before entering the fermenter. After a 5 day cold soak, the must underwent fermentation, never exceeding 84 degrees. During fermentation pump overs were performed twice a day to gently extract flavors and tannin. The wine was aged in 100% French barriques, undergoing 1 racking prior bottling. The wine was bottle unfiltered. |
