Simply outstanding Californian Pinot made by celeb-sommelier Rajat Parr.

The Bloom’s Field is one of the Domaine’s five single sites, on a southwest-facing hillside with clay on Monterey Shale bedrock. The Pinots from this windy spot are perhaps the lightest in colour and weight.

Complexity upon complexity here – aromatically, and throughout the long, ethereal palate. Whole-bunch wild herbs and leafiness (though not stalky) meld seamlessly with intensely concentrated cherry and pomegranate notes.

The palate is an exercise in light and dark – high toned, lush dark red fruits, fresh stoney minerality, and a deep long finish. Utterly exceptional.
